Tsí Tkarón:to Food Not Bombs is a network of autonomous and place-based groups that distribute free food — events which we call "distros".
We are tied together by the idea that food is a gift, not something to be guarded behind a cash register to benefit shareholders and CEOs. It is something to be shared freely with everybody.
Each group is autonomous, meaning that there is no external authority with power over the group. Generally, those who participate in the distros make decisions together on how to run them.
The groups are also place-based. This means each group mostly operates in a specific area or neighborhood and is run by and for local communities.
To learn more, we encourage you to come by a distro! Everyone is welcome even if you don't live in the area. We just ask that you bring what you learn back to your neighborhood.
